However, great times are ahead as I'm preparing to graduate in just one month. It hasn't really sunk in yet; I've had a mixed experience at AI Schaumburg, and it feels like I'm already done with the place. For the next month I'll be editing my demo reel, publishing my portfolio, launching my new website and identity, and preparing for my portfolio show (which I will absolutely OWN, more details to come later).
deviantArt has been a tremendous source of inspiration and support for me over the years. Your feedback has helped a great deal on some tough projects, and your words of praise kept my head up when I felt my work had been lacking. Some of you took me under your wing when I was a dA rookie, showing me the ropes and such, and I've tried my best to spread the karma by helping those same fresh faces that watch my profile.
I still think dA is the best online artist community out there, and I will be making an effort to step-up my presence here, be it comments, journals, favs, chats, or group participation. I'm anticipating a huge jump in free time once classes are over, so I'll have all the much desired "creative time" I've been so desperately needing.
With that, I'll whet your appetite and tell you that I'm off to work on an identity package for a U.S. Senate Campaign.
Peace!
Joe
